If you ever boot into a distro of Linux (Ubuntu for me) for the first time and your greeted by a blank screen after it loads the OS then here is the solution to your problem:
Here's a guide how to fix this problem
1.Press Ctrl+F2
2.Login and type in "cd etc/X11"
3.type this in: "sudo nano xorg.conf", put in your password.
4a.In the editor add this line (If your file is empty), or replace the existing Driver line to: Driver "Vesa"
5.Cress Ctrl+X, then hit "y".
6.Restart, you will boot to a prompt that will ask to change the configuration of your driver. You will want it to generate a new configuration file.
7.Restart again and go back into text-mode (Press Ctrl+F2)
8.Again, run: "cd etc/X11"
9.type: "sudo nano xorg.conf", put in your password again
10.Under the "Display" line type, or replace the existing Driver line to: Driver "Vesa"
11.Cress Ctrl+X, then hit "y".
12.Restart and hopefully you will be greeted by the GUI
This happens with some ATI cards (I have an ATI 3870) and some Nvidia cards. Dont let this turn you off from using linux, its just the fact that linux doesnt always know what driver to use.

Uber Headset
I have finished my "Uber Headset" Prototype. I wanted to craft a headset that would block out the rest of the world and be super tough to last being chucked and transported in the gym bag that I stash the rest of my peripherals in. I took my noise canceling SONY MDR-NC6 Headphones, replaced all of the shitty wiring SONY did, and enclosed the speakers inside of industrial ear muffs. I also added a mic to make it a full gaming headset. I wanted a durable wire going from the headset to my PC, so I just took a cat5 cable and made an Ethernet to headphone / mic adapter. :D

OMGee 1st p0st.....
So why the fuck should I waste it just to say some shit like: "Welcome to my blog..." Honestly, it's a waste of bandwidth and space. (<1kb, but still a waste.) So I'm just gonna get cracking and tell the world about my latest and not so great venture.
Well I got an iPod touch for xmas. It's pretty fucking cool and it's probably the bast damn thing Apple ever made. The only con is that it's the 2nd gen touch so I cant jailbreak it yet :( So I'm stuck with having to use iTunes to get free apps and upload music and vids.
iTunes, as some of you may know is a piece of shit. Using iTunes is like being anally penetrated by someone, but instead of them using lube, they force sand down your ass. First off it shit itself when I tried to install it. I have 64bit server 2008, and for some dumb ass reason it needed me to create a 2nd admin account to install the fucker.
I downloaded the latest firmware and uploaded some songs successfully without too much crashing. Then when I tried to install some apps and I had to log into the iTunes store. I used a really old account I had back when Pepsi gave away free songs, and I actually paid for music. :P I logged in successfully, and then it asked me for a fucking Credit Card.
When I went to put in my parent's CC info it kept telling me the security code was incorrect. So yep I'm stuck with an appless touch and apple must die.
Edit: I finally got iTunes working. It's really picky about the info you supply about the billing address. After a 30min long phone call to apple and a lot of googling, I finally am downloading apps :D
